Can anyone give me advice regarding weight gain after going GF. I gained
about 7 pounds in less than one week while visiting my sister in TN. I took
all my own food and when I did eat out it was mostly baked potatoes. I
exercise regularly (cardio 3-5 times per week and weight training 2-4 times).
I am very discouraged about the weight gain. I did not have the typical
symptoms to begin with. I had severe constipation (still a problem). I am
going to an allergist in a week to see if maybe I have other allergies
(besides MSG) that I am unaware of that could have put the weight on. I
carefully watch my fat and calorie intake. Also I have not been able to find
anyone with suggestions as to how much exercise is enough for a celiac. I
enjoy it but I do find that I tire easier than I use to before becoming sick
last year. I do seem to have a problem gaining muscle and losing body fat.
No one has been able to tell me what percentages a celiac should ingest in
their diet (i.e. % of fat, protein and carbs). If anyone has suggestions I
would like to hear them.
