Gluten-Free Living is celebrating its 13th year as the comprehensive source of information for
people with celiac disease or gluten intolerance.
And we're being sold in some Wegmans for the first time. Gluten-Free Living can also be
purchased at Whole Foods, Borders, Sprouts, Vitamin Cottage and hundreds of independent
health food stores.
Our latest issue features an expanded food section, "Bountiful Beans," which explores this
inexpensive, plentiful, gluten-free staple. "Bean Cuisine" provides cooking tips and recipes.
"Hiding in Plain Sight" explains why beans are a nutrient powerhouse.
"Over-the-Counter Medication" is part two of an investigative series examining gluten
in common medicines. Part one, featured in a previous issue, covered gluten in prescription
drugs. An order form in the new magazine can be used to order a variety of back issues.
"Joined at the Hip" examines the connection between celiac disease and osteoporosis and
discusses the importance of calcium and exercise. A follow-up story about bone health
in children with celiac disease is planned for the next issue.
Gluten-Free Living has many regular features, including "On Your Plate," which answers
readers' questions. In the new issue there are answers to questions about gluten and movie
theater popcorn, hummus and mushrooms spawned from wheat grain.
Visit www.glutenfreeliving.com for information and updates on important topics. Currently,
the home page offers a free download, "Passover Paradise," which has guidelines on
how Passover foods can be used in the gluten-free diet.
