Sherry,
Try going to the zoom window again. Select the Page Width button and then
click OK button. By your email, it appears that when you use the 100% is
where you are no longer using the Page Width selection.
Try it and then let me know.
Michael

Magnification Software
Hello Paul,
I gave your suggestion a try but it doesn't seem to change anything for me.
My view is set to normal. I went in to View / Zoom and changed to page
width and the percent to 100. I still see a small margin to the left and 4
to 5 inches of white, unusable space to the right.
Regards,
Sherry Wells

Sherry and list,
There is an easier way to have the text on line up with the left and right
part of the window without playing with the margins. First set your view to
normal in Word 2003 this is found in the view menu. Then go to zoom and set
you zoom to Page width. This will align the edge of the left and right
margins with the window.
Hope this helps.
Paul

Subject: [VICUG-L] Margins in Word 2003 - For Those Who Use Magnification
Software
Hello list,
This isn't exactly a problem but is something I find irritating. I like to
get as much text on a line as possible in Word 2003 so go into File / Page
Setup and set the left & right margins to .3. When I see my document on the
screen (I use Zoomtext), it looks like there is a small margin on the left
but at least 4 or 5 inches of empty space on the right. When I do a print
preview both margins look the same so I think Word is doing what it is
supposed to do re my margin size. I find it irritating to see this huge
blank space on the right side of my document instead of seeing everything
spread out as it would be if I were printing it. Does anyone have an
explanation for this presentation or know how I can change it? Thanks.
Regards,
Sherry Wells
