Gary,

 I know you are interested in a kilowatt amp with auto bandswitching, but 
for what it's worth the Ameritron ALS-600 while not a kw, does have auto 
bandswitching starting about a year ago.

BTW, THP did a 15% price increase a few months ago and the story is that 
others will  do or have already done the same due to the economic nonsense 
going on.
