Phil, if I understand right, some of Jim Bakker's thinking was changed in
prison. Problem is, I don't have a source to back my statement.

Dear John,
Let me be your source. <smile> Yes, Jim did repent and change his
thinking while in prison. I lived only 4 miles from PTL before all that
ministry came tumbling down, so to speak. I spent many hours there,
attending the live TV programs, the Bible studies, the worship services,
prayer services, and a host of other activities. The very first time I
went there, we parked the car under some of the beautiful trees that
adorned the place, and when I stepped out of the car onto the ground, the
tears flowed like a river in response to the Holy Spirit's Presence
there. It was like it was truly "holy ground".
All I'm trying to say is that while Jim was making a "success" out of the
place and hurting others in doing so, God did not withdraw His Presence nor
His blessings.
Yes, Jim did repent and change his thinking while in prison. There were
many of us praying for him.......God was faithful to answer.

Helen
