Hi, Elaine,
Before my hysterectomy (Dermoid cysts on the ovaries/fibroids on the
uterus), I used to have serious problems with crashing just before that time
of the month--and sometimes when I tried to do too much. I'd get so woosy
and fuzzy headed that I could barely concentrate, and I would be exhausted
and feeling generally lousy. I'd get a craving for sugar and chocolate, and
frequently would get migraine headaches. I never made a connection with that
and my Hashimoto's. Interesting.
When I had (and still have) a crash from doing too much, I get cold and
shaky and very, very tired. I usually just totally crash and get some sleep,
and I watch my diet carefully because I get hypoglycemic very easily. I'm
61, and I simply can't go without sleep or do too much anymore. Lack of
sleep and exhaustion never felt good when I was younger, but are devastating
to me now.
Betsy
