I'm brand new to this list and brand new to being diagnosed as being hypo.

For the record, I have hereditary high cholesterol and when I went in to
have a routine SMAK test to check liver enzymes, I asked to have the TSH
test run also. The lab asked my doctor's nurse, she said okay and I was
diagnosed.

Now, for my question. Two weeks ago I started on Synthroid (0.05 mg). I
want to know if I'm imagining things, or is it really possible to feel the
effects of the Synthroid almost immediately?

My internist said it would take months to regulate, and probably a couple
of months before I would be able to tell a difference.

The part I felt the difference in was I had so much more energy and I
wasn't nearly as hungry as I usually am. The hair
loss is still there, as is the dry skin, joint aches, etc., etc.

Now, however, after just a couple of weeks, I feel the fatigue creeping
back in. Sometimes I think I've read too much.
