Great idea. My only problem is the "Just for Fun" How about let's getting
serious? Like a PR person that can do a Today Show appearance. And maybe
some links to other underdiagnosed diseases. And can we link up to the
thyroid newsgroup? Probably lots of potential members there. I guess I
can't join since this applies to my two children and not me, though. But
surely I qualify for some sort of affiliation--
how's this for starters? A four page type written letter, by me, to a new
endo in my daughter's college town, on why she has a T4 to T3 conversion
problem, with a diagnosis of something the endo had never heard of (Wilson's
Syndrome), and a conclusion of "healthy" from another endo. After a long
talk with my daughter about her mother (like crazy?) and a diagnosis of
"stress", can you guess that her T3 came in below reference levels? I want
some sort of affiliation, and a certificate showing membership, if only with
an asterisk by it -- "Parent" member. Now all we need is someone with
serious organizations skills. (Count me out here) BL
