Carol,
   I would vote for studying the deleterious effects it has on cognitive
processing.  The study should also address whether or not there are long
term cognitive consequences in spite of achieving normal thyroid levels
in the blood.  I would be very interested in finding out if I will ever
truly get my brain back!!!
