I just heard about a cause and effect relationship between
malfunctioning hypothalamus and Graves. It turns out that graves is
actually a disease of the hypothalamus that effects the thyroid. I can
not explain it because I don't get it completely but it is something
like a physical inability to handle stress. The hypothalamus sends out
constant fight or flight signals and in some people this causes a
autoimmune attack on the thyroid. This is probably a very non-medical
description. Does anyone know more. Sandy
