Some of us appear to have had growth spurts as children, from some
previous postings here, which I found interesting.
I grew over one summer, at age 8, and was subsequently the tallest
child in class, right through age 11. I reached adult height and
normal weight by age 13 or 14.
I started puberty at age 8 and began menstruation at age 10, which was
quite early back in 1964 too.
I guess it makes sense that endocrinologists treat thyroid
conditions, since growth problems etc would also be referred to
them.
