Dear Karen and Thyroid Folks,
Umm, thanks for your inquiry. I'm sorry you could not tell how to gain
further data from the message as I wrote it.
>1) Where did you get this information? It looks like you received it
>electronically. Who runs the news service where you got it?
Well, to check on this I went to the only domain showing in the quoted

>2) Has this information been substantiated anywhere else -- for instance
>in a source such as the New England Journal of Medicine, the Globe & Mail,
>the New York Times, etc?
I have kind of an attitude about your second inquiry. To put it in the
colloquial, "Not my job, Mon." While I am 100% sympathetic with your
desire to validate this "factoid," I do not believe I'm required to provide
that data, just because I sent in the other clipping. In fact, as a
discussion
group, I was hoping that **ya'll,** as members of Thyroid, would be watching
the other news and information dispensers for corroboration, and sharing any
items with us (in a way that does not violate copyrights, etc.). I have my
own
reasons to 'distrust' the sources you cite above as perhaps 'more
authoritative,'
so perhaps we each must do our own research on this, and share the results
here on Thyroid, okay?
