Caution.  Synthroid is levothyroxine sodium, and so is the generic
preparation, BUT THEY ARE NOT IDENTICAL.  The binders and the fillers and the
proportions and the uniformity  are all different.  It is very important to
stick with your same exact thyroid preparation.
