I spent twelve years going from one endo specialist to another telling them that I had about a dozen classic
symptoms of hypothyroidism (including a mother who has been on Syntroid since her thirties) only to be told
that my T3,T4 and TSH were normal.
Thank God for Dr. Elizabeth Vliet and her book SCREAMING TO BE HEARD. On pages 57-61, she says that
many women over 40 have hypo symptoms with normal TSH, T3 and T4. They have thyroiditis and the
anti-bodies are blocking their absorption of thyroid hormone.
Ask for an anti-body test and demand treatment which they will refuse on account of your "normal" levels but
just keep at it.
