Sallette- Good luck on your pregnancy. I am hypo and had a little girl who
is five.
I was also 37 when I had her(my only child). She is very healthly , active
young lady. ALL pregnancies are different, so it is not fair to say too
much. I stayed on my medication and the OB kept an eye on my thyroid level.
I had blood test done every couple of months. When I had her , I asked
about breast feeding, but her pediatrician didn't want me to breast feed.
With being on medicine they said she would receive the thyroid medicine and
if she would have had problems they would never get a true blood test reading
on her thyroid because my medicine would mask her problem. I did have a
couple of misarriages one before her (my MD told me to go off my thyroid
medicine, and I did before I ever got to the OB, and a loss 2 yrs ago, but my
age didn't help. Thats why I said don't go by any one elses story, . Good
Luck-Alice
