Thank you all so much for your response to my e-mail last week. For those of
you who did not get a chance to read it, one of my best friends is a doctor
who practices in the field of psychology but is working with several
physicians, including one of the foremost chronic fatigue syndrome
specialists. My friend has theorized that many psych. patients are quite
likely improperly treated victims of thyroid/autoimmune disorders and has
agreed to review the materials I've been collecting from this board and other
sites. I don't know if she will have the time to do a study, although she
certainly intends to try. My goal is to get her to broaden her research
(which I believe will happen quite naturally) as she discovers the uncanny
medical similarities among victims of thyroid disorders.

Several of you were kind enough to volunteer your information for the purpose
of a survey. Thank you. We will likely take you all up on that once an
adequate survey has been developed. I will keep you posted on the progress
of this program.

One of my other close friends is a Pathologist who has seen me through my
hypothyroid trauma for nearly 9 months. I think that his expertise in test
results could also play a critical role in this study and I hope to ask him
for his involvement.

It's my hope to help people avoid the same tragedy many of us have been
living. Thank you all for your willingness to contribute.

P.S. For all of those who were praying for my dad....Thank you!!!! I was so
touched by your thoughtfulness. Those prayers were answered in a major way.
After 8 1/2 hours of "the Whipple Procedure" surgery (resectioning and
removing 2/3 of his pancreas, removing his duodenom and gallbladder), the
pathology report indicated that the cancer was successfully removed,
including the cancerous lymph node! He's weak, but very much alive. We are
so thankful!
