Yes, I had severe swelling under my armpits when I had Graves, I am now
hypo after treatments. I did gain weight which I am currently battling
to get off, but I was told very bluntly by my doctor and the radiologist
that administered my radiation treatments that if I did not have the
treatments, I have some damage to my heart as a result of the Graves,
that I would be dead by the time I was 50. I am now 40, my treatments
were 3 yrs ago, I have a wonderful husband, 2 incredible daughters, and
great life so I decided that a little weight gain was a small price to
pay for my life, maybe if someone would be so blunt and honest with her
it would help, I know it scared me.
