Note correct spelling above taken from my bible: "The Trigger Point Therapy
Workbook" by Clair Davies. I use this for all body pain. This book tells one
how to treat myofascial pain successfully. It also give suggestions as to why
it is occurring.
Hope you find it useful.

Hi! I have Myofacial Pain which is not related to Celiac disease. Mine is
treated by 200 units of botox every 3 months and Fentanyl patches. I take
morphine as a pain top up when needed.

Yes, I was just diagnosed with it this week. Have had two episodes in about
11 months. My symptoms are in the left scapula ( shoulder) area, radiating
up to the left neck. When it first hits, I can't turn my neck to function or
drive. Over time, it resolves, but not entirely. My doctor advised me that
this syndrome does not respond to over the counter pain meds. The treatments of
choice are aggressive physical therapy, stretching daily, ice, message,
acupuncture, dry needle treatments and trigger point injections. It needs to be
treated aggressively, or one could get trigger points in other parts of the
body, or, at worst, fibromyalgia.
The doctor has signed me up for a "theracane" class, a neck class, as well.
I am lucky. My doctor also has some of these symptoms in his shoulder. The
doctor also advised me to stop all aerobic exercise and swimming until I see
the physical therapist. I am seeing a masseuse at present a couple of times
a month. I sleep with ice pack to neck and shoulder. That helps. Apply soft
ice packs as needed, and when I drive. I have asked a nutritionist on our
website if theres is any connection between re-introducing dairy and
inflammation of the muscles and joints. She has not yet replied to me.
There is literature a foot that states that the gluten and cassein ( milk
protein) molecules so resemble eachother in the digestive tract that the cassein
ingestion could cause more leaky gut and inflammation. I reintroduced non fat
lactaid milk, non fat plain yogurt about a year ago due to being 65 years old with
osteopenia. However, Im' backing off milk products for the present and
resuming soy, and probiotics, if it seems necessary. Get the treatment you need -
quickly. the Physical Therapist is
the most important person on your medical team. Hope this is helpful.. I will
think of you when my shoulder and neck are acting up.

Yes, I am following Dr. Teitelbaum's protocol, as he has it himself and it is
helping.

Yes I do have it. Yoga, Wellness Chiropractic, and Massage plus reduction of
stress with plenty of rest is a key factor to the treatment as well as diet
and supplements. Nutrition is essential and eliminating other foods that may
have caused sensitivities besides the celiac disease.
