I'm blind, and I've always gotten the cheapest monitor I can find. I did
specifically switch over to LCD monitors a few years ago to save on
energy and space. When buying monitors for my wife and son, who are
sighted, I just go for size. I know there are metrics like refresh rates
and all, but they're just numbers to me. I've told my wife and my son
that if they don't like the monitors I get them then they can research
them and let me know what to look for. they've never taken me up on that
offer. I'm sure there are some high end monitors which use special
connectors and all, but like I said, I've just picked up the cheapest
monitor I could find and they've always just worked!
