If you should get the AVG toolbar when downloading AVG 8 you can uncheck the
toolbar from I E by pulling down the view menu. also ditto for Firefox.

Subject: [VICUG-L] noticed one other thing since instaling AVG 8 and its
tool bar

: Good morning everyone, I have noticed a few more things in the last day or
: so that I thought I'd post about. First thing is that I spent a few hours
: on youtube last night with no incident.
: Secondly, I went to my address bar, and found it blank, so I put
: IE back on full screen. I have never changed it, and didn't notice this
: until AVG was instaled and I went to the address bar for the first time
: since.
