With regard to the slots on your new ECS G31T-M motherboard, it offers one
16x PCI-E slot, one 1x PCI-E slot (the small one), and 2 standard PCI slots.
(This address may require cutting and pasting due to its length, but here
are the specifications:
http://www.ecsusa.com/ECSWebSite/Products/ProductsDetail.aspx?detailid=812&CategoryID=1&DetailName=Specification&MenuID=1&LanID=9 .
Here's the short version, http://tinyurl.com/3mjgrd

This motherboard only supports a single PCI-E video card (the 16x PCI-E
slot). The smaller PCI-E slot will be useful for cards like audio, network,
USB, and HDD controller cards in a PCI-E format.

It also has onboard graphics, if you don't want to install a dedicated video
card.

Subject: Re: SLI vs Crossfire

I recently bought a micro ATX mobo (ECS
G31T-M) that ended up costing the price of shipping after rebate! It has
the
small 16x PCI-E slot beside the regular PCI-E slot but the manual doesn't
cover how to use it. Have you used this configuration? Does it connect by
cable
to the PCI-E card? if so would said cable come with the video card or do I
need to get it separately?
