I don't remotely view cancer as a disease of civilisation, since it sometimes occurs even among wild animals who eat their natural diets. So, someone still has a chance of getting cancer no matter how "perfect" their diet will be. I will grant that someone on a healthier diet is extremely likely to have a much lower risk of cancer. I have already seen quite a number of interesting scientific studies directly linking consumption of cooking-derived toxins(namely advanced glycation end products, heterocyclic amines, nitrosamines and polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons) to much higher rates of cancer.
