By bodum, do you mean a coffee press? I don't drink coffee anymore (right
now!), but I loved the coffee press. Just glass and metal on the inside and
the coffee tastes fantastic. You need a larger grind though.

For my little filter I can use a fairly fine grind - it just takes longer to
drip through. And there are no paper filters used too, another plus. After
boiling the water, a cup of coffee takes literally about 4 or 5 seconds....
However, the basic structure is made of plastic and I cannot tell whether
the mesh is metal or some sort of plastic. I'd like to get something
different - lately, I have been thinking of a bodum system. Anybody have
one and what do they think?
.....I like my coffee fairly strong, grind my own and use commercially
ground as well....
