Last week my employer had a health day, and so I stood in line to have my cholesterol and etc. tested. Aside from slightly elevated glucose ( I am diabetic), my total "bad" cholesterol has dropped over 38 points since I began moving towards the paleo woe last year.

As well, the good cholesterol is up 6 points. As I am still overweight the health counselor pulled me aside with offers of free nutritional counseling based on the usda and other misguided "diet plans. She asked if I include grains, and the like in every meal. Horrified, I told her that I absolutely did not, and that it was because of the paleo woe my blood levels are so much better today than a year ago. I told her I include fatty meats, organ meats, meats and what ever foods could be gathered and eaten without needing to be cooked. She looked at me like I was crazy. But I felt good and a little vindicated.
