I also live in the UK. I actually found Lower Hurst Farm to be extremely cheap. But then, I usually only buy their raw marrow bones( 1 pound 50 a kilo, including weight of bone) or raw, non-rendered suet(5 pounds per kilo).

The SA website also suggests checking with your local county-council for lists of organic producers, as well.
 
Of course, the best place to get hold of organic meat in the UK is in London. There's a brilliant organisation< London Farmer's Markets, www.lfm.org.uk which has a dozen farmer's markets all over London - all meats sold there are either organic, or, at the very least, naturally-reared, with most being mostly or wholly grassfed.
