Fascinating. Conventional thinking would say that if insulin is low and
glucose is somewhat high, then most likely there is insufficient insulin
being produced. Are you saying that there is a different situation for low
carbers where they can handle bg above 82 without needing to produce insulin
and if the Hb1ac is normal then that indicates that sufficient insulin is
being produced? It would certainly help explain why my blood glucose numbers
remain stubbornly a bit above "optimal" levels by Dr. Bernstein's definition.
Does anyone have the blood glucose numbers for hunter gatherers?
