None of these studies were very substantial, seems like they weren't
taken seriously. The second two ("Gluten and casein free diets in
autism: a study of the effects on food choice and nutrition" and
"Plasma amino acids profiles in children with autism: potential risk
of nutritional deficiencies") are typical fetch-the-microscope-we've-
got-an-elephant-to-identify medical trials. The first one ("The
gluten-free, casein-free diet in autism: results of a preliminary
double blind clinical trial") was more interesting, but short and the
sample size was tiny.
What I'd like to know though, is how do you do a double-blind gluten-
and casein-free dietary trial? Liquidise everything the kids eat? I
wish I had access to the full version of that study.
