Some of us have had less than favorable experiences with endocrinologists.
If the endocrinologist is not interested in how you feel (temperature, physical
symptoms) and your ancestral and personal medical history, you will just be a
number with a bunch of lab numbers. If it can be written in an easy to read
form (keep a copy), and if the endo pays attention, he/she may order the right
tests to pinpoint what you need. If the endo treats you like a real person,
he/she will keep checking what is going on in you and adjusting treatment
appropriately. If not, he/she may put you on the path to feeling worse and worse.
