Hi everyone. I was overmedicated for about 5 years thanks to my wonderful
endo. I was very sick, he finally refused to see me anymore said it was not
my thyroid. I found a good endo and he discovered I was over medicated and
got me on proper dosage. I have been relatively good for about 2-3 years. I
stopped seeing him and let my family Dr. take over. Well, last year I was
feeling lousy and had gained about 18 pounds. I had my blood tested. The Dr.
told me my blood was normal and I didn't question it. It is now a year later
and I am feeling sick. I have gained a total of 28 pounds and am tired all
the time. Those are the easy symptoms. Heart problems, sleep apnea off and
on,etc. I just saw my Dr. told her I know it is my thyroid. She ran blood
work and I just received my phone call.....Yes, that's right folks, it's
normal! When I felt good my blood tested TSH .85 , .90 . So I decided to ask
what was my TSH last year when I felt sick and what is it today. when I went
in last year it was 1.78 and it is now at 1.98. I was first diagnosed at 5.5
(I had lost half my hair and was extremely sick.) I am amazed that as a
patient I am the only one who can see I am getting sicker. My options are to
change Dr.'s and wait a month or pay cash for the specialist because I am HMO
and he is not apart of my HMO. I know I am rambling, I am sorry, I had to get
it off my chest and want to remind everyone to keep track of your own lab
#'s!!!!! This should have been taken care of last year. Thank You, Carol
