Have great caution with low cortisol readings--the Cortisol test can be
thrown off by any of about 100 medications, including, I believe, asperin.
Make sure your doctor has checked this list, and repeat the test when you
have not been on any medication or vitamins for at least 2 days. E-mail me
privately if you want to hear my horror-story about being incorrectly
diagnosed as having Adison's Disease on the basis of one low cortisol reading.
