Hi, group. First, I want to thank all of you have responded to my questions
on pain and weight gain. You have been a big help, even in the short time
I have been here. I just found out yesterday (finally got results from a
thryoid sonogram I had done last October) that I have a multinodular goiter
and the endo who took the test said that I need to follow up right away.
Can anyone who has had this type of goiter give me some insight? I have
made an appointment with my local internist for this Friday.I am a little
anxious as the endo's nurse seemed to think there may be some urgency in
taking care of it (even though it took her 10 months to let me know of the
results). Do these types of goiters tend to be cancerous? Can they be
successfully removed? Any info will be GREATLY appreciated. Thanks again.
I feel like I am taking and taking and not giving, but as soon as I have
something to give...I will.
Cindy H.
