In a message dated 97-07-16 17:20:45 EDT, you write:

<< 50mcg of levothroid per day. No matter what I do the
pounds will not buge. I don't even have the umpa to excerise anymore,
because it doesn't help. Oh yes, it is good for your health, and sometimes
you feel better, but let's face it who wants to pay money to go to a gymn
and
get all sweaty, come home take another shower, lose 2 hours out of your day
 and see absolutely no results.

I have to go to a gymn because I won't do it on my own.

I hope I don't sound obnoxious here, but please do it for your health anyway.
At 53 problems can accumulate all too fast (I'm 51). You can always walk
early in the day- or late- when it is still somewhat cool. Thyroid problems
are bad enough, and they predispose one to other maladies as well.

I always reach into my mental imaging and visualize myself sitting in a
doctors office hearing some dreaded diagnosis that might predict hideous,
invasive, painful, embarassing procedures---and bawling, "Why me?" I think
of this, too, as I fill my grocery cart each week. It works for me because I
know the answer is often LIFESTYLE.

Good luck and Good HEalth to you.
