Hi everyone, have a question I would like anyone to answer that might have an
explanation. I have Graves Disease, was treated with RAI for the
hyperthyroidism in February of this year. My TSH levels were as follows:
Feb. .05 before RAI, then after the RAI, March .51, April back down to .06,
May up to 30 and June 23.22. In May my endo called and said I was now
clinically Hypothyroid and started me on Levoxyl .075 mg. A few days ago
she called and increased the dosage to .088mg because my levels were still
to high.

Now the interesting thing. I feel very good now, have for the past few
weeks, even with a TSH that is high. I feel better now than I have for a long
time,
both pre diagnosis of Hyper/Graves and during the very Hyper phase. I do not
feel any of the hypo symptoms that everyone here as stated. In fact I still
feel a bit on the Hyper side, not a bad hyper but just have alot of energy
and pep, which is great. To have the energy and stamina and not have the
palpatitions, tremors and shakes that I did for many months really feels
fantastic.

My question is: Has anyone else who has had the elevated TSH and is
diagnosed as Hypothyroid ever felt this way. I know many have posted
saying to get the TSH as low as possible, that even between 1-2 is the
desired reading. But if I feel good at this elevated TSH reading and still
a bit hyper, what will happen when the Levoxyl brings my TSH levels down
to the "normal range". So much has been made of doctors only looking at the
lab results and not listening to their patients and how they feel, I am
concerned as to what direction I should be going.

Comments anyone, and thanks.

Regards,
