I apologize for this long overdue summary-- I really appreciate
everyone's suggestions. I am very sensitive and managed not to get
sick the entire 10 days I was away! I went to the following places:

Zadin: a Vietnamese restaurant in San Francisco)

Cafe Gratitude: vegan restaurant chain where everything is gluten
free! I went to the San Francisco and Berkeley locations

Whole foods in LA

The Sensitive Baker: amazing gluten free bakery just outside LA

Mariposa: amazing gluten free bakery in Oakland, just outside San
Francisco. They had the best GF pizza I've tasted since I was
diagnosed!

PF Changs in LA and Monterey

Outback in Cupertino

The San Francisco Soup Company: clearly labeled GF soups

In and Out Burger: in LA and San Francisco. I'm a vegetarian, but
loved their fries!

I was disappointed to discover that the Central Ave Bakery in
Monterey had closed a few days before my trip.

hope this helps-- let me know if you have any questions.

Talia
