reading the manual in its entirety right through before you even touch the
radio always helps too.
Then, sitting down with the manual on the computer so you can quickly locate
specific sections you need and having the radio in front of you, and taking
your time will have you operating all the necesary functions quickly and
easily.
If you use a tape or audio version of the manual, its frustrating enough
just trying to find the section and information you need never mind trying
to remember how to use that on the radio itself.
A manual on tape or cd is pretty much useless beyond general
information....unless they have all the sections of the manual split into
separate tracks on a cd.  it would be pretty difficult to go through one of
the kenwood manuals and try to find the key sequence for a specific function
in audio format.
