Subject: Re: Little Rock repeater info

Christopher,

I live in the Little Rock area and though I won't relay a complete list
(look up Little Rock Arkansas in any public repeater directory on the web),
I'll tell you the systems I like to use here.

The Centreal Arkansas UHF Society (www.cauhf.org). They have a hub repeater
downtown near Lions World I believe. Look on the web site for tones and
frequencies. Friendly people are on there.

146.940 no tone: The local frequency for weathernet and very wide coverage
repeater. I haven't heard much activity on it, but it's a good one to have.

Any trunked scanner works here. I believe it's a Motorola system. It's
very widely used for many services, so know how to lock out talk
groups/manage them on your particular scanner.

Let me know if you have any other questions and I'd be happy to research
them.

Thanks and 73

Noel k5ner

Subject: Little Rock repeater info

Hi list,

I'm wondering if anyone can give me some repeater frequencies in Little =
Rock Arkansas. I'm going to go down there in either may or june, and of =
course, I'm taking the trusty TMV71A with me. I'll be down there for =
about six or seven months, and I'd like to have tome radio time while =
I'm there. =20

Also, if I remember right, someone told me that the public services are =
trunked down there. What kind of scanner am I going to need to look =
into purchasing when I get down there to be able to listen in on those? =
I have a regular scanner now, that doesn't trunk, but I figure that I =
can have that scanning the ham bands so it will continue to get some =
kind of use. =20

Thanks in advance and 73,
Chris, w8cjs
