I am attempting to send this message to everyone in my address book. Some
of you have
changed addresses and others may not want to hear from me, so if this is the
case just delete this.

Anyway, the reason why I have not been on the computer is because on
February 5th, Mardi Gras day, I suffered a bad fall down my stairs which
caused a fractured left hip which required surgery and 8 weeks of rehab to
correct. I am not finished yet as I have more therapy to go through as an
outpatient, but I am home now and am slowly getting back to full strength.
I spent the first four days at Oschner Kenner hospital, formerly known as
Kenner Regional Medical Center, about 6 and a half weeks doing Rehab at East
Jefferson Hospital and 6 days in a skilled nursing facility which I hated so
much that I demanded my release after I saw things that were going on and
the poor therapy which I received. They were stalling off I believe to get
more insurance money as I requested my release on Saturday March 29, but
didn't receive it until Tuesday April First and that was only after I had to
threaten the doctor that if I wasn't out by morning, I would begin
contacting area action news reporters and have him and this nursing home
investigated. I was released within the hour. I wouldn't kennel a dog in
that facility. I would just rather take my chances with out patient
therapy. Well, that's all for now. Thanks to everyone for their support.
73 to all you hams out there.
