once I read the PDF manual, and played around with the buttons on the remote 
a few times for my satellite dish receiver which has the DVR built in and it 
really didn't take me long to figure out. Just a little playing around, 
learning how many times to count presses of some buttons and all, the timer 
is a little tough still but everything else I can use 100%
