This is the first summary for my recent question about the prevalence of
gluten in drugs.
There were three general types of responses to this question:
1) those who say gluten is rarely/never used in drugs, prescription and/or
over the
counter types
2) those who say gluten was used as a filler in a product, even though the
label was not marked and/or the company stated there was no gluten in the
product
3) and those who say that gluten was identified by a pharmacist and/or the
manufacturer as being present in a specific product
Please Note: some people are very sensitive and will react to small amounts
of gluten and/or to cross-contamination in the manufacturing plant
I will post the specific responses that name specific instances of gluten in
a drug, later today.
