Hi all,
Well, here's how to get your windows xp system at least, to say desktop when it boots up, if it doesn't right now, when using jaws for windows 9
1.  press insert plus the letter j 
step 2.  press o for options
step 3.  then, press enter on basics
step 4.  it will say basics settings dialogue
step 5.  then tab down to run jaws from system tray.  If it's not checked, check the box with spacebar.
step 6.  then, tab down to ok and press spacebar, and you should be all set.
