Hello,

If it's the video card your system should refuse to boot and probably 
have a string of beeps at first power  up which are post codes. You look 
up the post codes for the bios you have and they tell you what went wrong.

If the computer seems to be booting and the monitor is just blank it is 
probable that the monitor has gone. Try a different one to find out.
