Becasue here in the states - we put out individual fires but never the address the root cause - that takes effort.

There decision wasn't and should not be about preventing the girl from
becoming pregnant. She needs to be protected from being abused and
therefore pregnency should not be an issue in the first place. The child
suffers from the period itself, gets seizures etc. I'm puzzled how there
always seems so much talk about pregnancies (not just here but in general)
and not so much the fact that abuse needs to prevented in all cases
involving individuals with disabilities and children.
