Pure capitalism doesn't work in the medical system though. Miami has one of
the highest per capita rates of doctors but, also some of the highest
medical costs. There are only so many customers, you have to spend lots of
money on equipment you can't share with anyone else, and you have to make up
your costs somehow. People need what they need are going to have to access
it. We can't find out the prices to comparison shop because different
people are charged differently and if you are the government or insurance
companies, you just ignore what the going rate is and make up your own.
Here in Florida, people who accept Medicaid haven't had a pay raise in over
10 years as the government (Florida) will not pay more and you can only see
one kid at a time and adults on regular Medicaid rehab isn't even paid. I'm
so glad I'm out of that system.
