Hello -

I am building a new PC that is in a 2U rack mounted case. It's in a small rack that has two routers and two switches hung in it as well. I'm studying for my CCNA and wanted a lab that I didn't have to set up and tear down every time I wanted to work with it.

The case came with a slot only for a slim DVD, not a full size one. I bought the slim DVD and it's exactly what would go into a laptop. All the illustrations show that the connector is an IDE/PATA type. Also I see ATAPI thrown around. I cannot find a cable that will connect this to my mobo's IDE or SATA connectors. Can anybody tell me how to connect to this drive to either an IDE or SATA connector?

Thanks
Jim

In case you want a closer look, here's the NewEgg picture of the connector in question. Sorry for the long URL:
