Oh Jenifer I know how hard this can be.

I had to retire my first duig at the age of six, because she
had a stroke that made her blind.  I really hope things will
work out for you.

I'll keep praying for you.

Hi all.

I write this with a heave scared heart.  Yesterday, I came
to a sad realization... a hard thing to realize.  Star, my
seeing eye dog has been extremely afraid of riding in a car,
bus, or any vehicle since Detroit.  I think I've told you
all about this.  Anyway... it's gotten worse.  Someone from
the school is coming out to visit us for the second time on
Thursday.  He is going to bring something called a calming
hood, and this is my last resort.  If all doesn't go well,
I'm going to have to retire her.  It's tearing me up!  She's
a great dog... a great worker!  But I hate making her face
her worst fear twice a day for an hour, sometimes each way.
Please pray that this calming hood works.  I've tried
vitamins, but can't do anything stronger because I need her
to work possibly 45 minutes after we start!  So, please pray
for us for Thursday!  Retiring her will not be easy at all!
I didn't think that after Claudia... my first guide... I'd
be able to find a place for another guide, but I have!
