Subject: New Prayer Request For Phil

I would like you guys to pray about something for me. I
recently happened to be writing back and forth with brad off list
and mentioned what was going on with me physically. I admitted I
had become quite discouraged over the last year due to a big drop
in our monthly support of the ministry so some of my
discouragement, of course, is related to that but there is more.

Since about early September, my back, lower back that is, has
gone out about three times. It was once again sciatica On
September the first which I had for the first time, a year and a
half ago, but since then, just the lower 6 to 8 inches of my back
has felt, when it was hurting and it isn't right now, thank the
Lord, like a gorilla has reached in to my back and clamped his
huge hand around my spine just below my belt line and started
squeezing. I finally went to the doctor a couple of months ago to
get some pain relief. I am now back on my low carb diabetic diet
and exercising a little every day so that is going to eventually
help with all the things I am about to describe. This prayer
request has to do with praying for a very expensive chair and
adjustable keyboard tray for my computer keyboard but you will
understand why as you read.

For several months, as I said, I have been having physical
symptoms which are causing me some problems. Some appears to be
related to diabetic neuropathy pain because at times, my arms
aches from my biceps, well, almost from my shoulders, to my finger
tips. My hands, as I type, tingle all the time now and by evening
hours, they feel so weak, I can't hardly type without it driving
me crazy. I also feel finger tip pain, numbness and tingling. My
hands get to feeling like I have been installing an overhead
ceiling fan or smoke alarm after several minutes of my hands and
arms being up over my head. Also, my wrist joints, and some of my
knuckles on both hands, will ache one day, burn the next, and itch
like crazy other days. I also get a burning, or aching, sensation
that feel like it is just below my skin. It aches and burns from
my elbow to my wrist and sometimes that same feeling is on the
tops of my hands, too. Besides all that, Since September first,
my left leg has never fully recovered from the earlier sciatica in
September and October and is not only stiff but weaker than my
right leg but both legs ache from deep within my hips to my knees.
My right leg has ached so much for over three years, I cannot
sleep on my right side at night any longer. I walk slower, and
more carefully, as a result of some of this because I find, due
to the stiffness in my legs, and the weakness in my left leg, that
it is easier to lose my balance. So, as I say, some of this is
back related and some, I am sure, is high sugar level related. My
annual physical comes up March 10 and I have been going in every
three months for an A1C blood sugar test. It was almost to the
level a month ago where they wanted to put me on medication to
lower my blood sugar. So, all these issues I will be relating to
my doctor come March tenth.

As I said, I mentioned all this to Brad recently and his
wife, over the years, has been having very similar symptoms in her
hands and back. She found a chair that starts at about 850
dollars, an office chair, and a 200 dollar adjustable keyboard
tray and all this has improved her similar symptoms a great deal.
We can get the same chair here in Denver, Sandy found out this
week, and I know for a fact that the keyboard positioning, and
level, has something to do with the feelings in my hands because I
used to have a very high metal office desk, a huge one, and my
hands were up high when I typed. When I got a new wooden desk for
my office I use now, the pain went away for probably 4 years but
now has returned and is worse due to other physical problems. So,
the bottom line is, by the time we pay for whatever fabric we want
on the office chair, and the keyboard tray, we are looking at well
over a thousand dollars. I sure don't want to give up typing but
if you have been getting very short messages from me of late, it
is because my hands hurt too much to type for very long at a time.
So, please pray because we have no credit cards any longer and
frankly, we have no credit either. Our income tax return has to
go for other things and although we will be getting 1200 dollars,
or more, back from the government in May or June, by then, we'll
need that for other bills most likely. So your prayers would be
appreciated. Frankly, I have been more than a little concerned
all about this and that doesn't help either.

Phil.
