Last night using my TH F6A and a mag mount, I pulled in a repeater that
is about 100 miles away. The weather was bad, so maybe that helped?

What I want to know is, would getting a vertical such as the Diamond
X200A make a big difference? Eventaully I want to upgrade the radio,
perhaps to a TS 2000. Would this antenna be good with it? I want to be
able to use what I get now with later rigs.

If I get the X200 what else will I need, Antenna tuner? Anything else
to add to my shopping list? Thanks.

By the way, I could almost understand the chat on that repeater but
signal was too weak, much noise. It was neat tho to even get that much.
