Hi Fred,
I use a Vectronics VEC512 noise bridge to tune up my external manual tuner
because you don't have to transmit a carrier to tune the rig and it works
GREAT! I'm not sure if the VEC512 is still available, but MFJ also makes
the same noise bridge.
