Ron,

I, too, see in colors.  Every word that comes to mind is a color.  Not
necessarily music when I hear it but the words.  Your name, Ron, for
example, is read.  John is a dark purple, almost black, Janet is a grass
green, and so on.  Words which are not names have color, too.  Interesting
your description.
