Deri, I'd do it all again too...especially the pints and pints of stout
consumed afterword! ;-)
You're absolutely right! The aggravations of gimpy geezerism are worth
the memories and camaraderie of earlier days.

Unfortunately my sporting days have passed (53), but I used to play
5-a-side
soccer quite a lot. Haven't done OT or PT since leaving school. I have
the
typical "sporting injuries" mentioned by others on the list, but then so
do
many of my 50 something non disabled friends.
Would I do it all again? Yes, certainly, the friendships and experience
from
being involved with sport far outweigh the disadvantages. I see the same
thing in my own (non-disabled) children, 2 of them are sport mad, and
have
abused their bodies in much the same way as I did.
